Family Planning
India is the second most populated country in the world after China. The population of India is projected close to 1.37 billion or 1,369 million in 2019, compare to 1.354 billion in 2018. The population growth rate for 2019 is projected at 1.08%.
The population explosion of India leads to a major constraint to development. Population policy, a major tool of family planning was adopted by the Indian Government from 1951 onwards. Three fourth of the world’s population leads a life of poverty and ignorance. People are not aware of the fact that they are facing basic livelihood problems because of their family. Family Planning Programmes aim to aware people regarding family planning and covers safe motherhood, male involvement, women health solutions, male involvement, adolescent health, and youth development.
We spread the messages through various medium including film, magazine, radio, journals and print materials. We arrange different education seminars addressing the topics like family planning, the risk of unsafe abortion, infertility, maternal and child health, the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and counseling of newlyweds.
